Teresa Manniso, a 2013 University of Delaware sport management graduate, joined UD Athletics in January, 2014 as an intern in the Athletics Development and Alumni Relations office.
Manniso, a native of Newark, Del., works closely with the Athletics Development and Alumni Relations staff in all areas.
Among her responsibilities are assisting with athletic alumni activities and fund-raising events, including golf outings, receptions, dinners, and other special events; assisting with the UDAF Annual Appeal campaign and annual donor Thank-a-Thon; coordinating with the maintenance of the UDAF website and UDAF social media initiatives; and assisting Delaware coaches with alumni communications.
While a student at Delaware, Manniso worked closely with the athletics department, serving as a football operations intern with UD Associate Athletics Director and Director of Football Operations Jerry Oravitz for two years and with Senior Associate Athletics Director for Facilities, Operations, and Capital Projects Joe Shirley for one year.
As football operations intern, Manniso assisted with managing day-to-day operations for the team and coaching staff; organizing travel plans; assisting with the UD Football Summer Camps program; managing fellow students; and assisting with the successful annual UD Bone Marrow Donation event.
As a facilities and operations intern, Manniso assisted with daily operational tasks and organized various athletics schedules.
While at Delaware, Manniso also helped raise money for the UD Sport Management Club through the University Chair Back Rental Program; worked for one year as an assistant to FOX Sports Director Artie Kempner; and studied international business abroad one semester in Costa Rica.
Her parents, Mark and Karen Manniso, are both University of Delaware graduates.
