Dr. Damian Andrisani is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He has volunteered as an orthopedic consultant to the University of Delaware athletic department since 2005.
Dr. Andrisani grew up in Delaware and graduated from the University of Delaware in 1995. He attended Jefferson Medical College and completed his orthopedic surgery internship and residency at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio in 2004.
He completed an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, during which he served as assistant team physician to the Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Soul, Philadelphia Wings, and Saint Joseph's University.
In 2005 Dr. Andrisani established his practice in Wilmington, Del. and currently practices with Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists. His areas of subspecialty interests include arthroscopic surgeries of the shoulder and knee, fracture care, and the management and prevention of sports-related injuries.
Dr. Andrisani is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, The Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Andrisani resides in Newark with his wife Jen and children Paul, Damian, and Cecilia.
He is a second generation Blue Hen and is proud to welcome his niece as a third generation Andrisani to the class of 2019.
