Position: Assistant Director for Student Services & Leadership/SAAC

Benjamin Oser joined the University of Delaware in November 2016 as assistant director of student services and leadership in athletics.

 Oser’s current role involves working on the development and execution of the comprehensive leadership curriculum, BLUE.  When not being Benny Blue, he oversees the coordination and engagement of the first-year student-athletes through the HENS Mentorship Program – Helping Each Newcomer Succeed.  In conjunction with his involvement in HENS, he assists in teaching the first-year seminar class. His other major responsibility is advising the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

 Oser arrived in Newark after spending a year as assistant director of commuter and off-campus communities at Drexel University, where he directed commuter and off-campus initiatives and developed student programs to provide this group with opportunities to engage with the entire university community.

 Oser also spent time as the director of Sejong camp operations at Sejong Cultural Education and the coordinator of programming initiatives and campus engagement at Drexel.

 Oser earned his Master’s of Higher Education Administration from New York University. He graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2006 with a major in Marketing.
