Blue Hens Club
Philanthropic support from our alumni, parents and friends is essential to sustain and improve the competitive position of Delaware Athletics. Blue Hens Club gifts can be designated to scholarships, facilities, specific varsity programs, and in support of all 21 varsity programs through the University of Delaware Athletics Fund. Membership in the Blue Hens Club plays a vital role in our mission of developing leaders academically, athletically and socially.
Annual contributions to the UDAF or one of our 21 varsity sports are a critical component to supporting each program, our student-athletes and coaches so that they have the necessary resources to compete for CAA Championships and represent UD at the national level. Annual donations are put to immediate use in the operating budgets of your favorite team(s) and fund essential needs of each of our programs including recruiting, training, travel, equipment, and more.
Football Seating Guidelines
Priority seats in Delaware Stadium carry an annual per-seat Blue Hens Club contribution in addition to the base ticket cost. Pricing levels are determined by seat location, see map for levels and locations. The seat donation counts toward any contribution necessary to qualify for Blue Hens Club preferred parking. Click here for 2016 seating map.
Priority Football Parking
Preferred game-day parking is available for Blue Hens Club members. Requests for parking must be made in writing and are due with your season ticket renewal. Requests for specific lots cannot be guaranteed and parking will be allocated based on giving level. Parking permits are limited to football season ticket-holders and each ticket account may purchase one pass for every 4 season tickets held: 1–4 tickets held may purchase one individual permit, 5–8 tickets held may purchase two individual permits, 9–12 tickets held may purchase three individual permits. Click here for 2016 parking map.
Blue Hens Club members at the $1,000 level or higher have the opportunity to purchase personalized reserved bumper parking. Reserved parking offers the luxury of having the same designated space for each game.
Blue Hens Club Contributions
Unfortunately, contributions to other areas of the University do not count toward seating and parking requirements. Donors making contributions through Donor Advised Funds, e.g., United Way or Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund may not be eligible for seating/parking benefits based on the outside organization’s specific policies. Please confirm the policy with the third party organization that you donate through before submitting the donation. Contributions that qualify an individual for the right to purchase priority seating and parking are 80% tax-deductible, according to Internal Revenue Code 170(I). Please note contributions are non-refundable.
