• After playing six consecutive games outside of Newark, the Blue Hens return home to ring in 2014 vs. Liberty. The contest is just Delaware’s third home game of the season, and marks the Blue Hens’ first ever game on New Year’s Day.
• Delaware and Liberty will play for the first time in school history on Wednesday. The Blue Hens are 3-3 all-time against schools currently in the Big South Conference.
• Delaware dropped an 80-73 decision at St. Bonaventure on Monday, as the Blue Hens lost their fourth consecutive road game.
Kyle Anderson scored 23 points, all but three after halftime, and knocked down 7 of 12 three-point attempts. Anderson currently is tied for sixth in Division I with 47 three-pointers made and ninth with a 52.2 three-point percentage.
Davon Usher posted his second double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Usher’s 10 rebounds tied his season-best. However Usher is just 3 for 29 from three-point range over his last four games.
Devon Saddler added 18 points, and is averaging 20.5 points during his last four games.
• The Blue Hen men’s basketball team will be collecting items for its annual Ronald McDonald House of Delaware Wish List Drive on Saturday, proior to the Blue Hens’ 2 p.m. home game vs. Cal Poly.
