Meet the Trainers

Aimee

I’m a graduate from the University of Delaware and my fitness journey began in high school. As a year-round athlete, I was constantly looking for ways to better myself for the upcoming season. With time, I fell in love with the process of becoming healthier and decreasing the chances of obtaining a health-related disease, which was very common in my family and the area I lived in. Seeing how fitness positively changed my life, it became a goal of mine to help others become healthier and stronger too. Using my knowledge of fitness, I am more than willing to share my passion for wellness with my future clients to assist in their lifestyle change and achieve their end goal. Together we can make a difference!

From a young age I was very active and played a variety of sports. I began weight training at the age of 15 to help with the sports I was doing and gained a passion for it. I would do my own reading and research to learn more about nutrition, the movements I was doing and the science behind it. Fitness and exercise turned into a lifestyle for me. A few years down the road, I completed my first certification and became a trainer to use what I had learned to help other people attain their personal fitness goals. I believe that hard work and dedication will bring you success. In my training I put a heavy emphasis on form and nutrition. I am heavily invested in the progress and results of any client I work with.

In my spare time I enjoy swimming, bike riding, stretching and lifting. If I'm not doing one of those activities, I'm either cooking or in the library.

Stephanie

I recently joined the UD fitness team as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. I took a leap of faith in 2015 and left the corporate world to return to college for a second time after nearly 20 years. I am currently a student at the University working towards a Behavioral Health Science Degree, with minors in Nutrition as well as Strength and Conditioning.

I feel fortunate the second half of my life can mirror my passions and aim to guide, help and inspire others to work towards and achieve their fitness and health goals. I can be intense with my workouts and you can find that intensity in my training and classes. I believe true change comes when you push your body to adapt. I feel once that happens, it's time to mix it up and make it adapt to something else!

Some of my passions include, road cycling, HIIT, barre, yoga, nutrition, cooking, and spending time at the beach with family and friends.

Vernon

I am a senior at the University of Delaware from Franklinville, NJ. As a cross country and track runner in high school, I was always fascinated with human performance and personal development. Since then I have expanded my experience and passion to all areas of health, wellness, and self-improvement. In addition to my interest in running, I am an avid participant in power lifting, yoga, calisthenics, hiking, recreational sports and many other areas of fitness that challenge me in a positive way. I decided to get my certification in personal training so that I could educate others and help them accomplish their goals of personal development.  I can't wait to get to work with you and improve together!

Education and Qualifications:

  • Exercise Science major with Biology minor and Biomechanics/Motor Control concentration

  • ACSM Certified Personal Trainer

Zach

I’m from Wilmington, DE and currently a junior here at University of Delaware. I began lifting weights in high school to gain size so I could improve my athletic performance in ice hockey and baseball. I instantly fell in love with training and knew I wanted to turn this passion into a future. My freshman year of college I began to start creating my own strength programs and was amazed by the result I saw with each program. I learned so much about myself and my capabilities. I believe that consistency and determination will bring you success. As of this past summer, I am nationally accredited through The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). No matter what your goals are, from gaining strength and muscle to losing fat and just learning the basics, I am ready to help you achieve them.
