2016 SEASON
Made an immediate impact as a freshman • started all 25 games while helping lead the Blue Hens to the program's first-ever NCAA Division I Championship while registering a team-record and nation-best 23 victories and 90.2 winning percentage • CAA All-Rookie Team • Team Rookie of the Year • tallied first career assist in win over No. 20 Albany (Sept. 23) • collected a defensive save in CAA Tournament win over Drexel (Nov. 4) • ZAG Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad.

HIGH SCHOOL
Decorated student-athlete who is no stranger to winning championships • under the direction of head coach Starr Karl, led Westfield High School to a 79-12 record over four seasons while garnering three conference titles, two Region 6A North titles and the 2013 Virginia 6A State Championship • two-time team captain • three-time First Team All-Conference and two-time First Team All-State honoree • as a added conference Player of the Year, Region 6A North Player of the Year, NFHCA South Region, First Team All-Met, Max Mid-Atlantic Region and team Defensive Player of the Year accolades as a senior • posted 15 goals and 15 assists during junior and senior campaigns • four-time Scholar Athlete • played alongside former Blue Hens teammate Meghan Winesett • member of the Rampage club team from 2012-16.

Sarah Elizabeth Horgan • born March 11, 1998 in Fairfax, Va. • daughter of Rebecca and Tim Horgan • has two siblings, Grace and Alex • mom played field hockey at CAA rival James Madison University from 1981-82 • sister, Grace, is a redshirt junior forward for the UMass field hockey team • lists favorite teams as the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox • majoring in cognitive sciences.
