RICHMOND, Va. – With a 10-match winning streak under her belt, blue Hens sophomore Sara Komer (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) was named Tuesday as the CAA Women’s Tennis Singles Player of the Week.

Komer improved to 10-0 in dual matches this season following a pair of victories last week.

Playing at the No. 1 spot, Komer rallied for a 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 win over Temple’s Monet Stuckey-Willis to help Delaware (6-4) edge the Owls, 4-3. In Sunday’s 6-1 team triumph over Villanova, she rolled past Kaylan Rotman, 6-2, 6-1, at the No. 2 slot.

Komer is currently 14-8 in singles matches this season and holds a 27-18 career mark.

The Blue Hens kick off their spring break trip this Friday with a 2:30 p.m. contest this Friday at Richmond.
