» Delaware and Fairfield meet for the eighth time with Fairfield leading 4-3
» Delaware won the first three meetings by scores of 23-2 in 1995, 15-9 in 1996, and 16-7 in 1997 but the Stags have come back to win each of the last four - 10-9 in 2009, 18-8 in 2014, 12-11 in double overtime in 2015, and 10-5 last year at Delaware Stadium.
» In last year's game, Fairfield broke away from a 4-4 tie by scoring five straight goals to start the final quarter and moved on to the victory, dashing the Hens' CAA Tournament hopes. Andrew Romagnoli had two goals to lead Delaware.

» Delaware head coach Bob Shillinglaw will coach his final collegiate game tonight vs. Fairfield. Shillinglaw, who announced his retirement prior to the season, has posted a record of 310-302 in 39 seasons at Delaware and a mark of 334-318 in 42 season overall as a college head coach. A two-time USILA National Coach of the Year, his career total of 652 games coached is the most ever by any coach in college lacrosse history and 100+ more than second place. He led his teams to six NCAA Tournament appearances (NCAA Final Four in 2007) and ranks No. 4 among active head coaches with 334 victories.
» Delaware will be looking to snap a four-game losing streak – all in conference play - at UMass (9-6), home vs. Hofstra (11-9), home vs. Towson (10-6), at Drexel (14-9) last Saturday
