RICHMOND, Va. -- University of Delaware junior righthander Jordan Cargile was named the Colonial Athletic Association Softball Co-Pitcher of the Week on Monday after picking up two key complete game victories over UNCW this weekend.

Cargile (Baltimore, Md./Eastern Tech) allowed just three runs, two earned, on six hits while tying her career-high with seven strikeouts in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Seahawks. She then fired a seven-hit shutout, walking only one and striking out two, during the 1-0 triumph over UNCW on Sunday that qualified the Blue Hens for the CAA Tournament.

The leader of the Delaware pitching staff, Cargile improved to 17-14 on the year with a 3.78 earned run average. Her 40 appearances in the circle are one shy of the UD single season record, while her 17 wins rank third in the league and are tied for fifth in a Blue Hen single season.

Cargile, who earned her first career CAA Pitcher of the Week accolade, shared the award with Megan Good of James Madison.

Following the weekend sweep of UNCW, Delaware has qualified for the CAA Tournament and will again face the Seahawks in the championship's opening game on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Harrisonburg, Va.
