COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The University of Delaware women's golf team carded its lowest round of tournament with a 308 score on Wednesday as the Blue Hens concluded their 2016-17 season by finishing in 15th place at the NCAA Columbus Regional.

Delaware, which fired a 320 on Monday and a 310 on Tuesday, placed 15th out of 18 squads with a three-round total of 938. Fourth-ranked Florida and No. 12 South Carolina tied for first place with 886 scores, with Florida winning the regional on a tiebreaker. Fifth-ranked Florida State (891), No. 29 Ohio State (893), No. 27 Purdue (904) and No. 33 Michigan (908) also advance to the NCAA Championships.

Blue Hen sophomore Ashley Dingman shot a three over par 75 during her final round on the par 72, 6,416-yard Scarlet Course at the OSU Golf Club, tying for 37th place in the individual standings with a 14 over par 80-75-75-230. Dingman birdied the 14th and second holes on Wednesday, while adding 12 pars on the day.

Senior Vitoria Teixeira enjoyed the lowest round of the day by a Delaware golfer as she carded a one over par 73 during her final round as a Blue Hen. Teixeira, who birdied five holes on Wednesday including three straight on 12 through 14, tied for 59th place at the regional with a 19 over par score of 85-77-73-235.

Grace Chua fired an 81 during Wednesday's round to tie for 70th place with a 22 over par 79-78-81-238, while Ariane Klotz recorded an 82 and tied for 72nd place with a 23 over par 77-80-82-239.

Valentina Mueller, who shot a 79 on Wednesday, posted a 28 over par 84-81-79-244 for the invitational to tie for 82nd place.

The regional concludes yet another successful season for the Blue Hen women's golf program under the direction of head coach Patty Post, as Delaware notched six top-five finishes, won its second straight Colonial Athletic Association title, and competed in the NCAA regionals for the second year in a row.
