Hens Post Four Wins at Navy Joe Hunt Invitational

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Delaware men’s tennis team opened play at the Navy Joe Hunt Invitational Friday with four wins.
In singles play, graduate student Dustin Britton (North Plymouth, Minn./Wazyata) collected the 6-4, 6-1 victory over Christopher Newport’s Andy Mason.
Sophomore Curran Verma (Gaithersburg, Md./Laurel Springs) picked up his second straight singles win by defeating Navy’s Josh Martin, 7-5, 6-3.
On the doubles side, Britton paired with sophomore Laurenz Lankes (Cologne, Germany) tallied a 6-2 triumph against CNU’s Mason and Dominick Lacombe.
Verma and freshman Justice Jones (Laurel, Md./JTCC School) pulled out the 6-4 victory over St. Bonaventure’s Blake McGuirt and Logan Cross.
