HEN SCRATCHINGS

  • ON THE BOARD: Last time out Delaware earned its first Colonial Athletic Association victory of the season, defeating Northeastern 1-0. The victory evened the Blue Hens conference record at 1-1. In the match, Delaware received a free-kick goal from sophomore defenseman Halvard Ramstad. Ramstad buried a perfect free kick that was served-in by Thibault Philippe. The header was the transfers first Delaware goal.
  • MORTON’SCLOSE TO HISTORY: Todd Morton is closing in multiple Delaware school’s records. The West Chester, Pa. native will become the winningest goalie in program history with just two more overall victories. Morton needs just five more shutouts this season to tie the program record of nine. On Saturday, Morton recorded his 15th career shutout which moved the goalie into second place all-time and just five behind former All-American Dave Whitcraft for most shutouts in program history.  
  • DEFENSE IS WINNING GAMES: The Blue Hens have been one of the best defensive teams in the country. UD is currently 15th in the nation in Goals Against Average, as Delaware has allowed just four goals in 675-minutes of action. The Hens are currently ranked seventh in the country in save percentage (.886.).
