MALIBU, Calif. – Junior Sara Komer (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) and sophomore Brooke Pilkington (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry Collegiate) completed play at the Riviera ITA All-American Championships Sunday at Pepperdine University’s Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center.
After picking up the 8-6 victory over Penn Saturday, Komer and Pilkington fell to Clemson’s Marie-Alexandre Leduc and Fernanda Navarro, 8-5, in Pre-Qualifying action.
Komer and Pilkington were the first Blue Hens duo to compete in Riviera ITA All-American Championships in its 33-year history.
Head Coach Laura Travis
“Sara and Brooke put in an incredibly strong and competitive effort that will help us in the future. We made some tactical adjustments and picked up energy along the way. The quality of points was exceptionally high and we are proud of the way we competed and represented the University of Delaware.”
