🗒 Game Notes

• Delaware looks to extend its winning streak to five as the Blue Hens take on CAA preseason favorite College of Charleston at TD Arena.
• The Blue Hens’ four-game streak is the longest winning streak under head coach Martin Ingelsby. The last time the Blue Hens won five straight was from Feb. 26 through Mar. 10, 2014, culminating in the CAA title.
• Delaware is attempting to open CAA play with two straight wins for the fifth time since joining the league, and for the first time since 2013-14. The 2007-08 squad is the only Blue Hen team to open CAA action with two road wins, as that team posted victories at William & Mary and Drexel to kick off league play.
• The Blue Hens have won five games outside of Newark this season, surpassing last year’s total of four. Tonight UD will look to win three straight road games for the first time since taking the last four road contests of the 2014-15 season.
• Delaware and Charleston both rank among the nation’s leaders in fewest turnovers per game this season. Charleston leads the CAA and ranks 17th nationally by averaging 10.8 turnovers per game, while the Blue Hens are second in the league and 19th in Division I with just 10.9 miscues per contest.
• Charleston leads the all-time series with Delaware, 6-5, and the Cougars have won the last three meetings between the schools.
• Last season the Cougars swept the season series, posting a 65-56 victory in Newark and a 78-65 triumph in Charleston. The Cougars are 4-3 against the Blue Hens in Charleston, including two straight wins at TD Arena.
