NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware Athletic Department has partnered with Lax Sports Network (LSN) to simul-stream all home games for the Blue Hens men’s and women’s lacrosse programs. It is the first such partnership in the country, making all lacrosse home events available free-of-charge to fans globally via and the LSN app.

“We’re extremely excited about partnering with LSN to highlight our lacrosse programs and student-athletes,” Director of Intercollegiate Athletics & Recreation Services Chrissi Rawak said. “LSN is the premier network for lacrosse fans globally and this is a tremendous opportunity to join forces to enhance exposure for the Delaware lacrosse brand internationally.”

In addition to the game broadcasts, Delaware will have features, interviews and exclusive content featured on LSN throughout the 2018 season.

“Lax Sports Network is excited to work with the athletic staff, coaches and players at the University of Delaware to bring the Blue Hens competitiveness to the lacrosse masses,” said Rob Wallace, Chief Operating Office at Lax Sports Network. “Our existing partnership with the Colonial Athletic Association to produce the CAA “Game of the Week” makes our new partnership with the University of Delaware a natural fit.”

A total of 15 (seven for the men, eight for the women) Blue Hen home games will be broadcast in 2018 live from Delaware Stadium. The games will also be available for viewing via LSN’s video on demand feature following the events.

The men’s team is led by first-year head coach Ben DeLuca, who previously spent time at Harvard, Cornell and Duke. The Blue Hens return seven starters from last year’s squad including second team All-CAA midfielder Will Hirschmann, second team All-CAA defenseman Austin Haynes, CAA All-Rookie selections in attackman Charlie Kitchen and goalkeeper Matt DeLuca, and last year’s leading scorer Andrew Romagnoli.

“We are excited to partner with the first-class team at LSN and have our home games streamed on their network. LSN has done a terrific job of providing and expanding access to great content and valuable perspectives within the sport of lacrosse,” DeLuca said. “This means a great deal to the Delaware Lacrosse program, our alumni and fans of Blue Hen Lacrosse.”

Blue Hen alum Kateri Linville enters her eighth season at the helm, where she has guided Delaware to double-digit win totals in four of the previous seven seasons. Five All-CAA honorees from 2017 will be back for Delaware, led by Becky Gohsler who earned First Team accolades last season.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase our sport and our conference. Promoting the game and our student-athletes’ performances is exciting,” Linville said. ”We can’t wait to start the 2018 season with additional online coverage.”

Home lacrosse games, with the exception of CAA Games of the Week, will still be available on in addition to and the LSN app.
