NEWARK, Del. — University of Delaware field hockey head coach Rolf van de Kerkhof announced Thursday the addition of goalie Becca Harbert to the squad.

“The Blue Hens would like to welcome Becca and her family to the UDFH family and program,” remarked Van de Kerkhof, who recently completed his seventh season at UD.  “We are excited that Becca has worked extremely hard to graduate high school in three-and-a-half years, which allows her to start her intercollegiate experience a semester early.”

Van de Kerkhof continued, “As a goalkeeper, Becca will be in an excellent position to become more familiar with and develop in her position in the coming months. She will be able to team up with returning goalkeeper Sydney Rhodes, and learn from Rhodes and soon to be graduating goalkeeper great Emmeline Oltmans. I am looking forward to working with Sydney and Becca and assist them in their preparation for the No. 1 position on the field come preseason."
