BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Delaware earned its second straight victory Sunday afternoon with its 6-1 victory over Lehigh at the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center.
Sophomore Brooke Pilkington and Sara Komer opened the day with a 6-2 decision against Christina Auyeung and Casey Zhong in top-flight doubles action.
The Mountain Hawks (2-3) picked up the second flight win before senior Arielle Shuren and freshman Sarah Whited paired for the 6-2 victory over Leigh Friedman and Kirstin Godau to clinch the team doubles point in the third spot.
In singles action, Komer topped Paula Gonzales, 6-0, 6-2, in the second flight while Pilkington pulled out the 7-5, 6-4 top-flight win versus Auyeung.
Junior Sarah Hall claimed victory for the Blue Hens (2-3) in the fourth flight by coming-from-behind to top Grace Lin, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2.
Senior Amanda Studnicki collected the 6-1, 6-3 win over Briana Maravich in No. 6 singles while Whited wrapped the day with a 4-6, 6-2, 10-3 victory against Zhong in the fifth flight.
