• Delaware advanced to the CAA Tournament Quarterfinals with an 86-79 win over 10th-seeded Elon in a first round game on Saturday night.
Ryan Daly led the Blue Hens with 23 points, his ninth 20-point effort of the season. Daly has reached double figures in 25 straight games, and is 23 points shy of 1,000 for his career.
Eric Carter added 20 points and 11 rebounds while posting his 12th double-double of the season. Carter now has 503 career boards, becoming the 32nd player in UD history to surpass 500 career rebounds.
Ryan Allen contributed 14 points, reaching double figures for the 16th straight game. Allen’s 86 three-pointers are tied for the UD single season record, along with John Gordon in 1998-99. Allen has made a three-pointer in all 29 games of his career.
Anthony Mosley reached double figures for the fifth consecutive game with 13 points. He needs 13 more points to reach the 1,000-point mark for his career.
• Delaware shot 57.4 percent vs. Elon, its second highest percentage of the year.
• The Blue Hens leads the all-time series with Northeastern, 28-26, but the Huskies have won six of the last seven meetings including both regular season matchups this year.
