TAMPA, Fla. – Blue Hen freshman Christian Chapman tied for 10th place in the individual standings while the University of Delaware men’s golf team finished seventh Monday and Tuesday at the USF Invitational.

Chapman fired a four over par 76 during the final round on the par 72, 7,004-yard Tampa Palms Golf & Country Club course, tying for 10th place with an eight over par 74-74-76-224. Jack Melville, playing as an individual, also carded a 76 on Tuesday and tied for 27th place with a 19 over par 81-78-76-235.

Kieran Purcell shot a 20 over par 79-79-78-236 to tie for 31st place at the tournament, while Blaine Lafferty tied for 44th place with a 24 over par 78-79-83-240. Jack Gianniny tied for 51st place with a 27 over par 77-81-85-243, while RJ Wren carded a 37 over par 87-85-81-253 to finish in 61st place.

Delaware recorded a 318 score on Tuesday, finishing in seven place out of 11 squads with a 939 three-round total. The host Bulls captured the team title with an 875 score, followed by Florida Atlantic at 904 and Southern Illinois at 906.

Priyanshu Singh of USF was the tournament medalist by finishing at even par, while his teammate Claudio Correa finished one shot back.

The Blue Hens return to the course on Mar. 25-27 when they compete in the Kingsmill Intercollegiate at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va.
