RICHMOND, Va. – University of Delaware freshman Christian Chapman was named the Colonial Athletic Association Men’s Golfer of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.

Chapman (Victor, N.Y./Victor) tied for 10th place in the individual standings Monday and Tuesday at the USF Invitational after firing a four over par 74-74-76-224 on the par 72, 7,004-yard Tampa Palms Golf & Country Club course. He helped lead the Blue Hens to a seventh-place finish in the team standings.

Chapman has appeared in six tournaments for the Blue Hens this season, averaging 75.39 strokes per round. The award is the first weekly conference honor for Chapman and the second for a Blue Hen this year, along with Jack Gianniny on Sept. 27.

Delaware returns to action on March 25-27 when it travels to Williamsburg, Va. to compete in the Kingsmill Intercollegiate.
