     · The Blue Hens kick off their 20th season in the Colonial Athletic Association Friday against #4/4 James Madison.
     · Delaware is 64-64 (.500) all-time in CAA regular season action.
     · The Hens was predicted to finished fourth in the CAA Preseason Poll.
     · Seniors Taylor Carpentier and Becky Gohsler were picked as All-CAA Preseason selections.
     · With 11 saves against #19 Princeton, Taylor Carpentier moved into seventh place in program history with 352 career saves. Leslie Saylor (1989-91) is sixth all-time with 373 career saves.
     ·  Taylor Carpentier ranks fourth nationally with 11.4 saves per game while Becky Gohsler is 16th with 2.27 caused turnovers per game and Mia DeRuggiero is 17th with 2.18 assists per game.
     · Becky Gohsler sits in third place in Blue Hens single season history with a career-high 46 draw controls and is third in program history with 151 career draw controls. Caitlin McCartney (2012-15) holds the school record with 186 career draw controls while Erin Edell (2002-05) is second with 152.
     ·  Becky Gohsler is also third all-time with 67 career caused turnovers. Erin Wein (2013-16) holds the school record with 126 career caused turnover while Caitlin McCartney (2012-15) is second with 86.

    · This season marks the 41st overall in Delaware program history.  In the previous 40 seasons, the Blue Hens have tallied a composite record of 377-295 (.561) with 18 10-plus win campaigns.
     · A squad that went 9-8 overall and 4-2 in CAA play with a trip to the CAA Tournament last year, UD returns 19 letter winners and eight starters while adding 11 newcomers.
     · A youthful squad, the Hens feature just 11 juniors and seniors in 2017.
     · Kateri Linville, who is in her eighth season at her alma mater in 2017-18, welcomes Joe Tornetta and Callie Santos as assistant coaches for the year. 

     ·  Delaware is 57-46 all-time versus this weekend's opponents.
     ·  James Madison is 26-17 all-time against Delaware since the first matchup in 1982.
     ·  In the last matchup vs. JMU, the #20/19 Dukes pulled out the 11-10 CAA semifinals overtime victory at Towson's Johnny Unitas Stadium last May.
     ·  Delaware had previously won two straight over James Madison, including
a 15-12 victory on April 23 at Delaware Stadium. Senior co-captain Coley Ricci led all scorers with a career-high six points on a career-best five goals and an assist.  She added two draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover in the crucial win.
     ·  In the last meeting in Harrisonburg, #18 JMU defeated the Hens, 8-6, in 2015.
     ·  One of the longest rivalries in program history, Sunday’s game will be the 51st matchup all-time between the Blue Hens and Tigers.
  ·  UD holds the series advantage at 30-20, but have lost 10 of the last 11 to TU.
     ·  Last season, a late second half run proved to be too little too late as #20/17 Towson topped the Blue Hens, 8-5, at Delaware Stadium.
     ·  In the last contest in Towson, the #20/17 Tigers stopped the Hens, 7-6, in overtime in 2016.
