·    The Blue Hens will hold a pre-game ceremony to unveil the 2016 NCAA Championship sign beginning at approximately 6:40 p.m. Friday evening.
     ·    No. 3 Delaware is 1-1 on the year after downing Indiana (7-0) in the season lid-lifter before falling to No. 9 Louisville, 3-1.
     ·    Sunday’s loss against the Cardinals halted a program-record 20-game winning streak.
     ·    The Blue Hens have scored in 52 straight contests.
     ·    Taylor Lister leads UD with six points on two goals and one assist while Greta Nauck, the CAA Preseason Player of the Year, has tallied four points on one goal and two assists.
     ·    With her four points, Greta Nauck has moved into sixth place in program history with 107 points (45g, 17a). Her 45 goals are good for seventh all-time while her 17 assists place her in a tie for 18th overall.
     ·    Goalie Emmeline Oltmans ranks 10th in the Blue Hens record books with a career GAA of 2.41 and ninth with 232 career saves.
     ·    The Blue Hens open the year ranked No. 3 in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I Preseason Poll. Delaware has never been ranked higher than No. 6, a ranking that came during the 1998 campaign.
     ·    Delaware captured the program’s first-ever NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship in 2016. 
     ·    The Hens finished the year with a remarkable 23-2 overall record while outscoring opponents by a margin of 100-39 over the course of the entire season.    
Delaware returns seven starters and 13 letter winners from a season ago while welcoming seven newcomers to the roster.
     ·    The Hens feature a total of seven international players on the roster.
     ·    The four-time defending conference champion Blue Hens were picked as the CAA field hockey favorite for the fourth straight season in the league’s preseason poll.
     ·    The 2016 Honda Award winner for field hockey, junior Greta Nauck was tabbed the CAA Preseason Player of the Year while seniors Emmeline Oltmans and Taylor Lister and juniors Kiki Bink and Lisa Giezeman garnered Preseason All-CAA accolades.
     ·    Kayla Devlin and Emmeline Oltmans were chosen as team captains this season.
     ·    Head coach Rolf van de Kerkhof (Fonty’s Hogeschool ’96) returns for his seventh season at the helm of the Blue Hens and holds an all-time record of 87-46 (.654) at Delaware.

Delaware is 15-13-3 all-time against this weekend’s opponents.
     ·    The Hens and Dartmouth have only ever faced off once previously with Delaware coming out with the 3-0 road victory in 2002.
     ·    UD leads the all-time series against Princeton, 14-13-3. The Hens have won three of the last four against the Tigers, including a 3-2 victory to advance to the NCAA Championship final last November.
