NEWARK, Del. –
University of Delaware men’s basketball head coach Martin Ingelsby has announced that Ithiel Horton has signed a National Letter of Intent with UD and will begin playing for the Blue Hens next fall.

Horton, a 6-3 combo guard from Vauxhall, N.J., is currently in his first season at Roselle Catholic High School. He averaged 10 points, three rebounds and three assists per game as a junior at St. Anthony, which closed last spring.

“We are very excited to welcome Ithiel into the Delaware basketball family,” Ingelsby said. “Ithiel is a young man we targeted early in the recruiting process and fits the type of perimeter players we want to have in our program. He is a big-time shooter who also has a high basketball IQ and feel for the game. He comes to us having played for two of the best high school basketball programs in the state of New Jersey and we look forward to him making an immediate impact when he arrives in Newark.”
