RICHMOND, Va. – It appears the senior class of the University of Delaware men’s lacrosse program isn’t going to leave anything behind when it comes to their collegiate playing careers.

For the second time in the first month of the season, a Blue Hen senior was honored by the CAA as the Player of the Week, this time it was Dean DiSimone, who scored five goals in a 13-12 heartbreaker to #7 Villanova last Saturday.

DiSimone follows classmate Will Hirschmann, who won the award in the first week of the season after four goals and three assists a win over Mount St. Mary’s.

The weekly accolade is the second of DiSimone’s career, the first coming during the 2016 season.

On the year, DiSimone has 10 goals and four assists in the first five games. He entered this year with 13 career goals and has nearly surpassed that already.

DiSimone and his teammates hit the road for three straight, beginning with this weekend’s match-up at Binghamton.
