ELKTON, Md. – Delaware men’s tennis swept its second straight opponent Sunday as the Blue Hens topped Yeshiva University, 7-0, at Elkton Indoor Tennis.
Freshman Nathan Benyowitz and senior Asdrubal Marcano started the afternoon off right by defeating Avidan Rudansky and Ezra Rudansky, 6-3, in No. 3 doubles.
Sophomores Dominick Perez and Luis Marcano claimed the team doubles point in the second flight with the 6-2 win over Mikey Ozery and Charlie Friedman for their fourth straight victory of the year.
Senior Colin Wong and freshman Guilherme Valdoleiros wrapped doubles action with the 7-6 (1) decision against Adam Rosemblaum and Lior Brik.
Benyowitz kept things rolling in singles play with his third straight win of the season with the 6-2, 6-0 triumph over Friedman in the third flight.
Asdrubal Marcano followed with a 6-1, 6-0 conquest versus Alex Kalb in the sixth flight while Luis Marcano clinched the match in No. 5 singles by defeating Avidan Rudansky, 6-0, 6-2.
In No. 2 singles, Valdoleiros earned the 6-0, 6-1 victory over Ozery while Wong picked up the 6-1, 6-0 win against Rosemblaum in the top flight.
The day concluded as Perez swept Brik, 6-0, 6-0, in the fourth spot.

“We have a nice little win streak going on and it shows with our level of confidence. Yeshiva is a good team that we beat today as they have won their conference four years in a row. We are looking really strong right now in our doubles and I’m very pleased with our consistency in singles play.”
   ·   The Blue Hens have won four straight for the first time since March 2009.
   ·   Delaware is off to a 6-2 start for the first time since the 2008-09 campaign.
   ·   The Hens are 31-17 (.646) in singles dual matches this season.
