ELKTON, Md. – The Blue Hens collected their third straight victory Saturday evening as Delaware topped Morgan State, 6-1, at Elkton Indoor Tennis.
UD (3-3) swept doubles action to begin the night ahead, 1-0.
Junior Sara Komer (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) earned the first singles win of the evening by defeating Oriane Yehouenou, 6-4, 6-0, in the second flight.
Freshman Sarah Whited (Virginia Beach, Va./Frank W. Cox) posted her team-leading 12th victory of the year with the 6-3, 6-3 No. 3 singles decision against Kayla Price.
Sophomore Brooke Pilkington (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry Collegiate) clinched the win for the Blue Hens in top-flight action with the 7-6 (2), 5-4 victory versus Danielle Thompson.
In No. 4 singles, junior Sarah Hall (West Orange, N.J./Mount Saint Dominic Academy) logged the 6-7 (7), 6-2, 10-5 win over Asmara Faluke while senior Arielle Shuren (Montebello, N.Y./Suffern) posted the No. 6 singles victory against Dana Santiago, 6-1, 6-1.
