WASHINGTON, D.C. – Seniors Megan Santoleri (Berwyn Pa./Archbishop Carroll) and Becky Gohsler (Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham) combined for five goals Saturday afternoon as Delaware fell, 12-8, to Georgetown at Cooper Field.
Santoleri posted her third career hat trick and added a draw control for the Hens, who move to 2-3 on the year.
Gohsler recorded two goals in addition to collecting a career-high six ground balls with two caused turnovers and a draw control.
Sophomore Katie Caddigan (Fulton, Md./River Hill) led Delaware with three draw controls.
Senior goalie Taylor Carpentier (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) logged 15 saves with a team-best three caused turnovers.
Michaela Bruno guided Georgetown (4-1) with five goals while Natalia Lynch controlled nine draws. Haelie Chomo collected seven saves in the cage.
