EASTON, Pa. – The Blue Hens continued their hot streak Sunday by defeating Lafayette, 5-2, at the Northwood Racquet and Fitness Club.
Delaware (8-2) swept doubles play for the third straight match to open the day ahead, 1-0.
Sophomore co-captain Dominick Perez (Bethesda, Md./Gonzaga College) kicked off singles play with his sixth consecutive victory by topping Brandt Baldwin, 6-1, 6-1, in the fourth flight.
Junior co-captain Blaise Casselbury (Lititz, Pa./Lancaster Country Day School) followed with a 6-2, 6-1 No. 2 singles win over John Yurconic.
Blake Oslan took the top-flight match before sophomore Laurenz Lankes (Cologne, Germany) clinched the team victory with his 6-3, 4-6, 10-8 win against Daniel Kramer.
Sophomore Luis Marcano (Kralendijk, Bonaire/Sagemont (Fla.)) wrapped the day for the Hens with a 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 triumph versus Matthew DeBenedetto.

“I’m very pleased with what I’m seeing in our doubles play. Our net first-serve percentage and aggressive net play is a big factor in our doubles success. Our singles play looks good overall and we were able to dictate on most of the courts.”
   ·   The Blue Hens have won six straight for the first time since March 2009.
   ·   Delaware is off to a 8-2 start for the first time since opening 8-2 during the 2008-09 campaign.
   ·   The Hens are 38-22 (.633) in singles dual matches and 19-10 (.655) in doubles dual matches this season.
   ·   Seven Hens have winning streaks of two matches or more.
