BRONX, N.Y. –The University of Delaware women’s cross country team concluded its 2012 season on Saturday as Lindsay Prettyman finished 14th overall and helped the Blue Hens to an eighth place team finish in the University Division race of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships at Van Cortlandt State Park.

James Madison captured the team title with 54 points, easily finishing ahead of second place Columbia with 94 points. Princeton (108), Saint Joseph’s (118) and La Salle (130) rounded out the top five, while the Blue Hens were eighth out of 11 squads with 153 points.

Prettyman (at right) led the Blue Hens for the seventh time this fall by finishing in 14th place by covering the five-kilometer course in a time of 18:25.2. Freshman Shannon Kelly finished 30th with a time of 18:52.0, while junior Michele Lambert came in 33rd in 18:55.6. Senior Katie Deinert finished the race in 18:57.5 to place 36th, junior Alyssa Kennedy came in 46th place in 19:08.8, and sophomore Katrina Steenkamer finished 61st with a time of 19:31.7.

Junior Kellye Foulke finished in 63rd place in 19:32.7, while sophomore Meredith Steenkamer was 65th in 19:33.9 and freshman Rachel Weinberger was right behind her in 66th place in 19:34.0. Sophomore Nicole Rittman placed 72nd in 19:41.2 for the Blue Hens, senior Kayla Koonz was 81st in 19:55.9, and junior Emily Gispert came in 86th place in 20:11.8.
