ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- After leading her team to two crucial Colonial Athletic Association victories this past weekend, University of Delaware field hockey goalkeeper Noelle Diana was named to the WomensFieldHockey.com Weekly Honor Roll on Tuesday.

The senior celebrated her final two games at Rullo Stadium in style, posting a 3-0 win over rival Drexel on Friday, and getting back into the CAA playoff race with a 3-1 win over Towson on Sunday.

This is the goalkeeper’s first weekly honor of her career, and first honor since being named to the 2009 CAA All-Tournament Team.

For the week, Diana made 12 stops in 140 minutes of action. Opponents were able to get 22 shots off on the Blue Hen (8-9, 3-3 CAA) defense, but only 13 on goal. Diana finished with a 0.50 goals against average and a .923 save percentage.

Against Drexel, Diana made six saves in recording her seventh shutout of her career. It was the second shutout this season and the first against Drexel since the 2009 CAA Championship game in which Delaware won, 1-0.

The Flanders, N.J. native also made six saves against Towson, helping the Blue Hens climb into a tie for fourth place in the CAA standings. They are knotted with Drexel with two games remaining.

On the season, Diana has started all 17 games while making 111 saves. She lowered her seasons’ goals against average to 2.97, allowing 48 goals in over 1129 minutes.

New Hampshire’s Whitney Frates was named WomensFieldHockey.com’s Player of the Week after scoring five of her team’s seven goals on the week. Michigan’s Aline Fobe earned Rookie of the Week honors by recording a goal, an assist, and a defensive save for the Wolverines.

The Blue Hens return to the road to close the regular season this weekend, squaring off against James Madison (7-9, 3-4 CAA) on Friday and Virginia Commonwealth (5-12, 2-5 CAA) on Sunday.
