NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware field hockey program has announced its 2012 spring scrimmage schedule.

Two road competitions will be held on April 7 at Rutgers with Rider and Rutgers at 11 a.m. and on April 21at Hofstra with Yale, Drexel, Quinnipiac, Rider, and Hofstra at 9:30 a.m.
“As a program, we are excited to be getting started with our spring hockey,” said van de Kerkhof. “At this time the players and coaching staff have worked together for about a year and expectations and opportunities for our program are now clear to all as we take the next step. Although this spring we have a small roster and are somewhat young as a group, as a program we have excellent opportunities to start working together and making progress for the 2012 season.”
Another spring highlight for the program is the return of the Alumni Game & Social. Blue Hen field hockey invites all alumni to be part of the 2011 Season Team Banquet followed by an Alumni Social on April 14 and prepare to take the field and face the current players followed by a tailgate on April 15.
