University of Delaware Junior Amanda Terzian Named Colonial Athletic Association Women’s Golfer of the Week
RICHMOND, Va. -- University of Delaware junior Amanda Terzian was named the Colonial Athletic Association Women’s Golfer of the Week on Thursday following her outstanding performance while leading the Blue Hens to the team championship at the Rutgers Invitational earlier this week.
Terzian, a native of Haverford, Pa. (Episcopal Academy), tied for second place in the individual standings with a three over par 76-71-147 on the par 72, 6,034-yard Rutgers University Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday. Her second round 71 was the lowest of her career, while her 147 total was also her lowest two-round score as a Blue Hen.
Additionally, Terzian’s second place finish was the best of her career, while she earned her first CAA conference honor. Terzian shared the conference Golfer of the Week honor with Laura Fuenfstueck of the College of Charleston.
Terzian and the Blue Hens, who have captured the team title during two of their first three tournaments this fall, are back in action Sunday through Tuesday at the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
