WALLACE, N.C. -- The University of Delaware women’s golf team posted team scores of 312 and 317 as the Blue Hens are tied for ninth place out of 14 teams on Saturday following the first day of the UNCW Seahawk Classic.
The host Seahawks lead the team standings with a two-round score of 613, while Old Dominion and UNC Greensboro are tied for second with 616 scores.
Blue Hen sophomore Amanda Terzian (at right) carded a 13 over par 78-79-157 on the par 72, 6,106-yard River Landing Golf Course to finish the day in a tie for 25th place in the individual standings. Freshman Vimonthip Benjasupawan is also tied for 25th place after she fired a 13 over par 76-81-157 on Saturday.
Sophomore Baralee Theinthong recorded a 79-80-159, 15 over par, to end the day tied for 35th place, while freshman Nathalie Filler is tied for 40th place as she carded a 17 over par 79-82-161. Sophomore Annie Bowlsby fired a 19 over par 86-77-163 to finish Saturday tied for 45th place while senior Frida Nilsson, playing as an individual, is tied for 57th place after posting a 23 over par 79-88-167.
Fanny Cnops of UNC Greensboro leads the field with a two over par 72-74-146, while Kelly Shon of Princeton and Lori Beth Adams of UNCW are each one shot back.
The third and final round of the UNCW Seahawk Classic will take place on Sunday.
