WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The University of Delaware women’s golf team posted a 308 team score on Tuesday to cap an impressive three days at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate as the Blue Hens finished seventh out of 21 teams at the invitational hosted by William & Mary.

Delaware, coming off its lowest round of the season of 299 on Monday, followed with its second lowest round of the year by shooting a 308 on Tuesday and ended the tournament with a three-round total of 930. Longwood captured the team title with a 912 score, followed by St. John’s at 922 and St. Leo at 923. Toledo was fourth at 925, finishing ahead of Penn at 928 and the Blue Hens.

UD freshman Andrea Slane carded a nine over par 80 during her final round on the par 71, 6,097-yard River Course at Kingsmill Resort, finishing in a career-best tie for sixth place in the individual standings with a 15 over par score of 75-73-80-228. Classmate Amanda Terzian was one of three Blue Hens to shoot a five over par 76 on Tuesday, as she finished a season-best tie for ninth place with a 79-74-76-229, 16 over par.

Junior Frida Nilsson also carded a five-over par 76 during the final round, tying for 35th place with a 24 over par score of 85-76-76-237. Freshman Annie Bowlsby fired a 10 over par 81 on Tuesday to end up with a 28 over par 84-76-81-241 and tie for 48th place.

Freshman Baralee Theinthong (at right) was the third Blue Hen to card a five over 76 during her final round, as she finished in a tie for 50th place with a 29 over par 87-79-76-242.

Kameron Carter of Longwood earned medalist honors with an eight over par 71-74-76-221, while Katia Joo of Boston College finished three shots back.

The Blue Hens return to action on Mar. 26-27 when they compete in the UC Irvine Anteater Invitational at Dove Canyon (Calif.) Golf Course.
