WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- University of Delaware freshman Andrea Slane fired a four over par 75 while the Blue Hens are in 11th place out of 21 teams Sunday following the first day of the C&F Bank Intercollegiate.

Delaware posted a team score of 323 during Sunday’s opening round, its second lowest of the spring, to finish the day in 11th place. Longwood leads the field with a 300 score, followed by St. John’s at 307, St. Leo at 308, Toledo at 309, and Boston College at 314.

Slane (at right) fired a 75, one shot off her career low, during her first round on the par 71, 6,097-yard River Course at Kingsmill Resort to finish the day in a tie for sixth place in the individual standings. Amanda Terzian is tied for 28th place following her eight over par round of 79, while Annie Bowlsby carded a 13 over par 84 and is tied for 63rd place.

Frida Nilsson is tied for 68th place after she posted a 14 over par 85 during her opening round, while Baralee Theinthong carded a 16 over par 87 and ended the day in a tie for 75th place.

Kameron Carter of Longwood leads the field after firing an even par 71, while Piyathida Chaiyapan of Toledo is one shot back.

The invitational continues with the second round on Monday, before Tuesday’s third and final round.
