RICHMOND, Va. -- University of Delaware redshirt sophomore Andi Slane was named the Colonial Athletic Association Women’s Golfer on the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.

Slane, a native of Temecula, Calif. (Great Oak) carded an eight over par 80-72-152 on the par 72, 5,965-yard Encinitas Ranch Golf Course last Friday and Saturday during the Blue Hens’ dual meet win over Brown. Slane tied for the first place at the meet along with her teammate Grace Chua, while leading Delaware to the 619-642 victory.

Slane’s second round 72 tied for the lowest round of her career, and was the best round carded by any player in the event. Additionally, her 152 total was her lowest two-round score of the year.

The conference award is the fourth by a Blue Hen this season, as Amanda Terzian was named CAA Women’s Golfer of the Week on Oct. 17 and 23 before Chua earned the award on Oct. 30.

Slane and the Blue Hens are back in action this Friday and Saturday when they compete in the UNCW Invitational at River Landing Golf Course in Wilmington, N.C.
