Delaware Women’s Golfers Eighth After First Day of Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. -- The University of Delaware women’s golf team carded team rounds of 302 and 310 on Saturday to finish the first day of the Princeton Invitational in eighth place out of 12 squads.
Yale leads the field with a 591 two-round total, while Georgetown and Columbia are tied for second with 593 scores.
Blue Hen freshman Ariane Klotz carded a five over par 74-75-149 on the par 72, 6,100-yard Springdale Golf Club course and sits in 13th place in the individual standings. Valentina Mueller is tied for 21st place with an eight over par 74-78-152, while Vitoria Teixeira fired an 11 over par 78-77-155 to end the day tied for 35th place.
Ashley Dingman is tied for 41st place with her 12 over par 76-80-156, while Grace Chua is tied for 54th place at 82-81-163, 19 over par. Josefina Fernandez-Davila, playing as an individual, sits in 63rd place with a 27 over par 83-88-171.
Jennifer Peng of Yale and Michelle Xie of Harvard are tied for first place at two under par.
The final round of the tournament will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
