PRINCETON, N.J. -- The University of Delaware women’s golf team fired a 308 round on Sunday as the Blue Hens finished in eighth place out of 12 squads at the Princeton Invitational.

Delaware, which carded rounds of 302 and 310 on Saturday, finished the tournament with a 920 three-round total. Columbia captured the team title with an 891 score, while Georgetown finished second at 893 and Yale was third with an 897 score.

Blue Hen freshman Ariane Klotz shot a two over par 74 during her final round on the par 72, 6,100-yard Springdale Golf Club course, as she tied for 10th place with a seven over par score of 74-75-74-223.

Vitoria Teixeira carded a three over par 75 on Sunday to tie for 28th place with a 14 over par 78-77-75-230, while Valentina Mueller fired a 15 over par 74-78-79-231 to tie for 32nd place at the invitational.

Ashley Dingman tied for 46th place with her 20 over par score of 78-80-80-236, while Grace Chua carded a 29 over par 82-81-82-245 to tie for 54th place. Playing as an individual, Josefina Fernandez-Davila finished in 64th place with a 41 over par 83-88-86-257.

Michelle Xie of Harvard finished at two under par to post a six-shot victory and earn medalist honors.

Delaware returns to action Friday through Sunday when the Blue Hens compete in the Denver/Ron Moore Women’s Intercollegiate at Highlands Ranch (Colo.) Golf Course.
