Blue Hens Tied For Sixth After First Day of Denver’s Ron Moore Women’s Intercollegiate
HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – The University of Delaware women’s golf team fired a 295 score on Friday to end the first day of the Ron Moore Women’s Intercollegiate in a tie for sixth place.
Pepperdine leads the 18-team field with a 280 score, while host Denver sits in second place at 289. Colorado is third at 292, Georgetown and Nebraska are tied for fourth at 293, while the Blue Hens, Kentucky and Long Beach State are all tied for sixth place.
UD senior Vitoria Teixeira carded an even par 72 on the par 72, 6,426-yard course at Highlands Ranch Golf Club, ending the day in a tie for 13th place. Valentina Mueller is tied for 20th place with a one over par 73, while Ariane Klotz fired a two over par 74 to end the round tied for 29th place.
Katrina Prendergast of Colorado State leads the field with a four under par 68, while two players are one shot back.
The second round of the three-day tournament will take place on Saturday.
