Delaware Women’s Golfers Ninth Following Second Day of Ron Moore Intercollegiate
HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – The University of Delaware women’s golf team carded a 301 score during Saturday’s round at the Ron Moore Women’s Collegiate to end the second day of the tournament in ninth place.
The Blue Hens, who fired a 295 on Friday, sit in ninth place out of 18 squads with a two-round total of 596. Pepperdine continues to lead the team standings with a 570 score, while host Denver is four shots back at 574.
UD freshman Ariane Klotz recorded a one over par 73 on Saturday on the par 72, 6,426-yard Highlands Ranch Golf Club course, ending the day in a tie for 17th place with a three over par 74-73-147. Senior Grace Chua had the best round of the day by a Blue Hen, as she carded an even par 72 to finish the round tied for 26th place at four over par 76-72-148.
Valentina Mueller is tied for 50th place with an eight over par 73-79-152, while Vitoria Teixeira is tied for 57th place with a 72-81-153, nine over par. Ashley Dingman, who fired a 77 on Saturday, is tied for 76th place with an 11 over par 78-77-155.
Sophie Newlove of Denver and Hira Naveed of Pepperdine are each tied for the individual lead at four under par, while Mariell Bruun of Denver is one shot back.
The final round of the three-day tournament will take place on Sunday.
