2014 SEASON
Played in all 20 games while starting 19 contests • scored one goal and recorded one assist on the season • tallied goal in UD's 6-2 win over Iona and notched lone assist of the season in 2-1 win over the Hofstra • launched 19 shots, which was the fifth highest total on the team • registered a season-high three shots in 3-0 win against St. Bonaventure and in 2-1 victory over Hofstra • Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-American third team selection • Capital One/CoSIDA District II All-Academic first team pick • CAA All-Academic Team • CAA Academic Honor Roll • second UD player to ever earn CAA Scholar-Athlete of the Year for Men's Soccer honors (Matt Haney).

2013 SEASON
Earned CAA All-Rookie Team honors as a redshirt freshman • CoSIDA District 2 All-Academic first team selection • saw action and started all 20 games for the Blue Hens • one of only two players to start all 20 games alongside Guillermo Delgado • recorded five points on two goals and one assist • scored goals against Manhattan (Sept. 6) and Howard (Oct. 23) • lone assist of the year came in win at #7 UMBC on Oct. 1 • helped anchor a defensive unit that posted six shutouts while having a 1.18 goals against average • helped lead the Blue Hens to one of their finest seasons in school history with a record of 14-5-1 and an at-large berth in the NCAA Tournament for head coach Ian Hennessy • member of the CAA Academic Honor Roll.

2012 SEASON
Started the first three games of the season for Delaware before suffering injury that kept him out of action the remainder of the year • selected to Duke's John Rennie/Nike Classic All-Tournament Team • CAA Academic Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB
Three-time letterwinner under head coach Joe Quintavalle at Woodbury (Minn.) High School • All-State and All-Metro selection during senior season in 2011 • two-time all-conference selection in 2010 and 2011 • key contributor as a sophomore • helped team to a third place finish in the state tournament • AP Scholar and honor roll student during his prep career.

Benjamin Michael Sampson • son of Mark and Louise Sampson • born Jan. 29, 1994 in Rochester, N.Y. • honor student as an electrical engineering major at Delaware • father works for 3M • has two younger sisters, Rachel and Liz, in addition to two younger brothers, John and Scott • selected Delaware because of its engineering program and soccer team • started playing soccer at the age of five • considers his father his biggest sports influence • lived in Poland for two years and in Singapore for six years as a youngster • enjoys sailing, playing pickleball and tennis in his free time • served as an image processing intern at Phase Sensitive Innovations the past two summers • has been trying to learn to read people's lips.
