Gameday Happenings

Traffic & Parking:  Season and single game parking lots open at 11:30 a.m. for you to enjoy tailgating with your fellow Blue Hens.  Single game parking is available for $15. Please review the entrances and traffic flow patterns prior to arrival to avoid delays:

RESERVED LOTS:

  • Entrance A – Entrance off of Rt.896/S. College Ave. (North Bound ONLY) for Gold VIP, Gold Road, Gold Legends and Gold Champions ONLY.
  • Entrance B – Entrance off of Rt.896/S. College Ave. (North Bound ONLY) for Blue VIP, Blue Road, Blue Legends, Blue Champion and Gold Handicapped Reserved ONLY.
  • Entrance C – Entrance off of Rt.896/S. College Ave. (North Bound ONLY) for Blue Hen parking permits.
  • Entrance F – Entrance off Route 4 (West Bound ONLY) for The Nest, All-Stars, All-American VIP and Victory VIP parking permits

SINGLE GAME LOTS:

  • Entrance D – Entrance off of Rt.896/S. College Ave. (North Bound ONLY) Single game parking for the Ice Arena Lot, Townsend Hall, and Field #9.
  • Entrance E – Entrance off of Rt. 896/S. College Ave. Single game parking for the Ice Arena lot. Townsend Hall and Field #9.
  • Entrance F – Entrance off Route 4 (West Bound ONLY) for ADA single gameday parking – NO OTHER SINGLE GAME ACCESS PERMITTED.
  • Entrance G – Entrance off Route 4 (West Bound ONLY) for Woods Grass Lot.

*Please note that STAR South Lot will be closed for the 2017 season.  Please follow access directions listed above for a different single game lot.

Delaware Stadium Box Office Opens (West Side):  11:30 p.m.

Delaware Stadium Gates Open: 1:30 p.m.

Anchor Buick GMC Fan Zone: Open 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Fan Zone has a new location this year, in the small parking lot between the Bob Carpenter Center and Hospitality Village. The family-friendly fan zone is full of good times with music from DJ Andrew Hugh, giveaways, inflatables, face painting, and interactives. This experience is complimentary and open to the public. In partnership with the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, live blue hens will be in the Fan Zone every home football game 2 hours prior to kickoff. Names will be announced during the game! You don’t want to miss this!

Delaware Beer Gardens:  The Delaware Beer Gardens offered on football gamedays in Delaware Stadium are open to all adults over the age of 21 with valid driver's license. The gardens will continue to be located in the southeast and northwest corners of Delaware Stadium. This week’s featured beers are: Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA, Dogfish Head Sea Quench Ale, Iron Hill Vienna Red Lager, and Coors Light. Alcohol service will conclude at the end of the third quarter. 

Coors Light Designated Driver Booth: Delaware Football wants everyone to get home safely. Fans may visit the Coors Light Designated Driver Booth located at Guest Services on the West or East concourse of Delaware Stadium, and receive a complimentary soft drink if they pledge to be the designated driver for their group. Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license.

Stadium Policies: Patrons are permitted to bring in one (1) unopened bottle of water per guest. In order to ensure the safety of our guests, all bags will be checked as patrons enter the facility. Please plan accordingly as long lines may exist.  Delaware Stadium has a No Re-Entry policy. Patrons experiencing an emergency or who must exit for medical reasons may go to the main Guest Services kiosk inside the Stadium on the West or East side for assistance. For the comfort and safety of all, the following items are not permitted in Delaware Stadium:

UD reserves the right to inspect and remove any packages and containers. All persons are subject to search, which includes clothing, jackets, bags and purses.  The stadium will not be responsible for items left at any of the entry gates.  Fans should return restricted articles to their vehicle.

Ticket Options: Tickets will continue to be scanned at Blue Hen home games. In addition, Blue Hen fans will now have the option of using mobile and print at home tickets. For any game day ticket related issues, fans are encouraged to visit the Stadium Box Office on the West Side of Delaware Stadium.

Season Ticket Members: Please note: When removing each individual game ticket from your season ticket books please remember to tear at the appropriate location and be sure that you include the barcode with your tickets to avoid any hassles at the entry gates.  You will need to have your barcode scanned to enter the stadium.

Season Ticket Member Benefits:  UD Football season ticket members are able to show their Benefit Card received with their season ticket package at the UD Bookstore Campus Shop location in the stadium to receive a 10% discount on merchandise. Season Ticket Members who renewed by the early bird deadline, who have not already picked up, are eligible for the exclusive Delaware football pin. Pins can be redeemed at the fan zone from 1:30 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. You can earn rewards for referring in new season ticket members. Visit bluehens.com/fbtickets for details.

Blue Hens Hospitality Village (located at corner of Routes 896 & 4 in front of The BOB).  Patrons looking to reserve a private tent in Blue Hens Hospitality Village are recommended to do so at least three weeks in advance, as space is limited and based on availability.  Blue Hens Hospitality Village, which is located between The BOB and South College Avenue, is a turnkey solution for fans looking to host a private tailgate. Team Pregame DJ: Due to scheduling conflicts, there will be no team walk this year, but if you want to see the team in action prior to the game, get to the stadium early for warm ups and music by DJ Alex Persaud! Enjoy the good beats with quarterbacks taking the field starting at 2:30 PM.

UD Student Entrance:  UD students should enter through the southwest corner of the stadium (closest to The BOB).  No ticket is needed, only a valid UD ID.  One admission per eligible student. Gameday Express Buses will run pregame through kick-off from the following locations: Christiana Commons; Gore; & Perkins Student Center beginning 2 hours prior to kick-off and will begin running routes from the stadium to drop off students beginning 90 minutes after kick-off.

Group Sales & Experiences: Keep an eye on the scoreboard after the band performance concludes at halftime to see your group welcomed to the game.


Guest Services:
Guest Services kiosks are located directly inside the West and East Entrances of Delaware Stadium and will open two hours prior to kick-off through the conclusion of the game.  Lost and found items, group sales & group experience questions, and emergency re-entry along with other general fan inquiries are all handled at these locations inside the stadium. There will be an additional Guest Services kiosk located directly outside the West Entrance that will open four hours prior to kickoff through kickoff for general questions.

Visiting Team Guests:  Guests whose names have been left on a pass list from the visiting school and/or who need to pick up tickets purchased directly through the visiting school, should do so at the East Box Office on the East side of Delaware Stadium.

UD Player Guests/HS Coaches/Non-Football Recruits:  Should enter through the pass gate on the west side of Delaware Stadium adjacent to the Delaware Stadium Box Office.

UD Football Recruits:  Should enter through the main entrance of The BOB and meet designated staff in the main lobby.

Halftime In-Stadium: Stay in your seats for a halftime performance by the University of Delaware Marching Band!

Postgame In-Stadium: After singing the alma mater with the football team, remain in the stands for the postgame show featuring the UD Marching Band.

Qdoba Touchdown Tacos: This season Qdoba has partnered with Delaware Football for the Qdoba Touchdown Taco Half! If the Blue Hens Score a touchdown during the second half, one lucky section will win a free taco from Qdoba! To redeem, bring your ticket to Qdoba at 58 Main St. in Newark.

Seatback Rentals:  Seatback rentals may be purchased on gameday immediately inside the East and West main entrances. They are $7 per seat and are cash only on gameday.

Tobacco Free Policy:  The University of Delaware is a Tobacco-Free Campus applicable to all members of the University community and on all UD property. The use of all tobacco products, (smoking, snuff & the emerging e-cigarettes) on University property is prohibited to ensure a “Tobacco-Free UD.”  For details, click here.

Tailgating:  Patrons may tailgate beginning Four (4) hours prior to kick-off and may resume postgame for up to two (2) hours after the conclusion of the game. Tailgates must be limited to the immediate space behind the patron's vehicle and driveways must be kept clear at all times. As part of the Guest Code of Conduct, the following will not be permitted:

  • Foul or abusive language or gestures
  • Intoxication or other signs of impairment related to alcohol consumption
  • Fighting, taunting, or threatening remarks or gestures
  • Sitting in a location other than the Guest’s ticketed seat
  • Displays of affection not appropriate in a public setting
  • Obscene or indecent clothing
  • Any disruption to the progress of the event by Guests’ actions
