NEWARK, Del. – Registration is now available for six University of Delaware softball winter camps that will be held on December 21 and 22 in the Delaware Field House.

The clinics will be run by fourth-year Blue Hen head coach Jaime Wohlbach, along with Delaware assistant coaches Lauren Cognigni, John Seneca and Lara Andrews.

On Saturday, December 21 an Offense Only Clinic will be available for players ages 8-13 from 9 a.m. until 12 noon, while a second Offense Only Clinic will be held from 1 until 5 p.m. that day for players ages 14-18.

The following day a Defense Only Clinic will take place from 9 a.m. until 12 noon for players ages 8-13, while a second Defense Only Clinic will be held from 1 until 5 p.m. for players ages 14-18. A pair of Pitching & Catching Only Clinics will also take place for players ages 12-18, from 6 until 8 p.m. on both December 21 and 22.

The clinics for players ages 8-13 cost $75 for one day and $135 for both days, while the clinics for players ages 14-18 cost $90 for one day and $165 for both days. The Pitching & Catching Clinics cost $75 for one day and $135 for both days.

Participants should bring their own helmet, bat and glove, as well as sneakers for indoor training. Catchers should bring their own gear.

Wohlbach was the 2010 MAAC Coach of the Year at Iona, and has guided the Blue Hens to the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament during each of her first three years in Newark. Cognigni, entering her third year at UD, was a four-year starter at Saint Joseph’s who is the Hawks’ career strikeouts leader. Seneca, also in his third year at UD, is a certified NFCA and two star NFCC Master Coach, while Andrews was a three-year starter and captain fo the Blue Hens who ranks fifth in Delaware history with nine career home runs.
