Gameday Happenings – Delaware vs. Jacksonville (Fla.)

Traffic & Parking:  Season and single game parking lots open at 3 p.m. for you to enjoy tailgating with your fellow Blue Hens.  Single game parking is available for $15. Please review the entrances and traffic flow patterns prior to arrival to avoid delays:

  • Entrance A – Entrance off of Rt.896/S. College Ave. (North Bound ONLY) for Gold VIP, Gold Road, Gold Legends and Gold Champions ONLY.
  • Entrance B – Entrance off of Rt.896/S. College Ave. (North Bound ONLY) for Blue VIP, Blue Road, Blue Legends, Blue Champion and Gold Handicapped Reserved ONLY.
  • Entrance e C – Entrance off of Rt.896/S. College Ave. (North Bound ONLY) for Blue Hen parking permits.
  • Entrance D – Entrance off of Rt.896/S. College Ave. (North Bound ONLY) Single game parking for the Ice Arena Lot, Townsend Hall, and Pool Grass Lot.
  • Entrance E – Will be closed this year to football gameday parking.
  • Entrance F – Entrance off Route 4 (West Bound ONLY) for The Nest, All-Stars, All-American VIP and Victory VIP parking permits, ADA single gameday parking – NO OTHER SINGLE GAME ACCESS PERMITTED.
  • Entrance G – Entrance off Route 4 (West Bound ONLY) for Woods Grass Lot.

Delaware Stadium Box Office Opens (West Main Gate):  3 p.m.


Delaware Stadium Gates Open: 5 p.m.

Team Walk: Beginning at 4:30 p.m.  Join us to greet members of the Blue Hens Football squad during pregame as they march down Stadium Drive escorted by the Delaware Marching Band and Spirit Groups to the locker room. The walk will begin approximately two and a half hours before kick-off each game in front of the Delaware Field House. 

Anchor Buick GMC Fan Zone: Open 5 to 7 p.m. Adjacent to The BOB and Hospitality Village
The family-friendly fan zone is full of good times with music from DJ Ghost, giveaways, inflatables, face painting, photo booth, and interactives, including the UDairy Creamery Moo Mobile. 

Delaware Day: A special welcome to all State of Delaware employees, University of Delaware employees, Delaware Farm Bureau members, and state educators as we celebrate all things Delaware! 

Sunday Breakfast Mission: Delaware Football is teaming up with Sunday Breakfast Mission in Wilmington, DE to encourage fans in attendance to bring any kind of canned food (fruits, vegetables, meats, soups, stews, etc.) to donate to this great cause.  Collection areas will be available just outside the gates of Delaware Stadium beginning at 3 p.m. when parking lots open until kickoff.  The Blue Hens thank you in advance for your consideration in making a donation!  For full details, click here.  

College Colors Day: All Blue Hens are encouraged to wear UD Blue & Gold to celebrate the 11th annual College Colors Day presented by the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) on Friday, 9/4.  Apparel is available for purchase at the UD Barnes & Noble Bookstore on Main Street.  Enter for a chance to win tickets to the College Football Playoff National Championship game at

Season Ticket Member Benefits: UD Football season ticket members are able to show their Benefit Card received with their season ticket package at the UD Bookstore Campus Shop location in the stadium to receive a 10% discount. Also, if you renewed your season tickets by the Early Hen Renewal Deadline this past spring, be sure to bring your issued Blue Hens Bucks for redemption at the stadium on gameday.

Student Giveaway: If you missed us on-campus during 1743 Welcome Days and on #BlueHenFridays this week, a limited number of official adidas Delaware Football fan shirts will be distributed to the students seated in the front of the SEZ sometime during pregame.  All giveaways subject to availability.  If you aren’t lucky enough to snag one at the game, visit the Barnes & Noble UD Bookstore on Main Street to get yours before the next game!

UD Student Entrance: UD students should enter through the southwest corner of the stadium.  No ticket is needed, only a valid UD ID.  One admission per eligible student.  Gameday Express Buses will run pregame through kick-off from the following locations:  Christiana Commons; Gore; & Perkins Student Center.

Group Sales & Experiences: Group sales ticket holders can pick up their gifts at the main Guest Relations kiosk directly inside the West Gate Entrance of the stadium.  Fans participating in Group Experiences should check-in at this same Guest Relations location.


Guest Relations: The main Guest Relations kiosk is located directly inside the West Entrance of Delaware Stadium and is open two hours prior to kick-off through the conclusion of the game.  Lost and found items, group sales & group experience questions, and emergency re-entry along with other general fan inquiries are all handled at the main kiosk inside the stadium. There will be an additional Guest Relations kiosk located directly outside the West Entrance that will open four hours prior to kickoff through kickoff for general questions.

Delaware Beer Gardens: The Blue Hens Club members, Delaware Diamonds Society members, and Premium Box Seat Ticket Members are invited to two in-stadium locations offering the purchase of Delaware brewed beers. Guests must be 21 and older and sales will conclude at the start of the 4th quarter. Sales are located in the northwest corner of the Stadium as well as the southeast corner of the Stadium.

Visiting Team Guests: Guests whose names have been left on a pass list from the visiting school and/or who need to pick up tickets purchased directly through the visiting school, should do so at the East Box Office on the East side of Delaware Stadium.

UD Player Guests/HS Coaches/Non-Football Recruits: Should enter through the pass gate on the west side of Delaware Stadium adjacent to the Delaware Stadium Box Office

UD Football Recruits: Should enter through the main entrance of The BOB and meet designated staff in the main lobby.

Halftime In-Stadium:
Remain in your seats at the beginning of halftime to help recognize select the Blue Hen student-athletes who took home individual CAA Championship victories in their respective sports this past spring semester, before the UD Marching Band halftime show.

Postgame In-Stadium:
After singing the alma mater with the football team, remain in the stands for the postgame show featuring the UD Marching Band.

Seatback Rentals: Seatback rentals may be purchased on gameday immediately inside the East and West main entrances. They are $6 per seat and are cash only on gameday.

Tobacco Free Policy: The University of Delaware is a Tobacco-Free Campus applicable to all members of the University community.  The use of all tobacco products, (smoking, snuff & the emerging e-cigarettes) on University property is prohibited to ensure a “Tobacco-Free UD.”  For details, click here.

Stadium Policies: Patrons are permitted to bring in one unopened bottle of water per guest. In order to ensure the safety of our guests, all bags will be checked as patrons enter the facility. Please plan accordingly as long lines may exist.  Delaware Stadium has a No Re-Entry policy. Patrons experiencing an emergency or who must exit for medical reasons may go to the main Guest Relations kiosk inside the Stadium on the West side for assistance. UD reserves the right to inspect and remove any packages and containers. All persons are subject to search, which includes clothing, jackets, bags and purses.  The stadium will not be responsible for items left at any of the entry gates.  Fans should return restricted articles to their vehicle.

Tailgating: Patrons may tailgate beginning 4 hours prior to kick-off and may resume postgame for up to two hours after the conclusion of the game. Guest Code of Conduct
As part of the Guest Code of Conduct, the following will not be permitted:
• Foul or abusive language or gestures
• Intoxication or other signs of impairment related to alcohol consumption
• Fighting, taunting, or threatening remarks or gestures
• Sitting in a location other than the Guest’s ticketed seat
• Displays of affection not appropriate in a public setting
• Obscene or indecent clothing
• Any disruption to the progress of the event by Guests’ actions
