LEWISBURG, Pa. – After the second day of action at Bucknell’s Kinney Natatorium, the Delaware women’s swimming and diving team dropped to third place while the Blue Hen men remain sixth.

The Delaware men tallied the only top-three finish in day two of competition.

The men’s 800 Freestyle Relay team that consisted of Everett Albert, Sihan Liu and Alex Hillsley, garnered a third place finish with a time of 6:52.38.

The Delaware women’s 800 Freestyle Relay squad of Dominique Montoya, Mary Kay Harris, Brittany Lazear and Laura Askin, placed fifth (7:48.94) in the event. Alyssa Sanders registered her own individual fifth place finish in the 100 Backstroke (57.87).

Matt Marquez and Hillsley each tallied fifth place finishes for the Blue Hen men. Marquez finished the 200 Freestyle in 1:42.95 while Hillsley completed the 100 Backstroke in 51.15.

Both the Delaware men and women will wrap up the Bucknell Invitational tomorrow, Sunday, Nov. 24 at 5 p.m.

4th place: 200 Medley Relay (Alyssa Sanders, Annie Nunes, Kaitlin Wolla, Morgan Whyte) – 1:47.50.

5th place: 100 Backstroke – Alyssa Sanders (57.87); 800 Freestyle Relay (Dominque Montoya, Mary Kay Harris, Brittany Lazear, Laura Askin) – 7:48.94.

6th place: 200 Medley Relay (Alyssa Santangelo, Dominique Montoya, Tori Gillispie, Maggie Tracy) – x1:48.28.

7th place: 100 Breaststroke – Annie Nunes (1:06.52).

8th place: 400 IM – Shea Solt (4:36:06).


3rd place: 800 Freestyle Relay (Everett Albert, Sihan Liu, Alex Hillsley) – 6:52.38.

5th place: 200 Freestyle - Matt Marquez (1:42.95); 100 Backstroke – Alex Hillsley (51.15).

8th place: 800 Freestyle Relay (Cory Camp, Garrett Sharesky, Alex Tooley, Jorge Rios) – x6:59.29.

9th place: 200 Medley Relay (Alex Hillsley, Corey Beinhart, Tomas Elder, Trevor Dearstyne) – 1:35.91; 200 Freestyle (Sihan Liu) – 1:43.18.

10th place: 400 IM - Cory Camp (4:05.71).
