NEW YORK -- Lindsay Prettyman broke her own record in the 3,000 meters, Betsy Erlanger established a school freshman record in the 1,000 meters, Michelle Lambert posted the third best mile time in school history, and Monica Hagenauer collected two top six finishes with personal bests in the shot put and weight throw events to lead the University of Delaware women’s indoor track & field team at the Lafayette/Rider Winter Games Friday at the New York City Armory.

Prettyman finished second in the 3,000 meters as she broke her own school record with a time of 9:32.76, shaving nearly 10 seconds off her previous mark; Erlanger was fourth in the 1,000 meters as her time of 2:55.87 broke Prettyman’s rookie record set in 2011; Lambert was third in the mile with a clocking of 4:56.95; and Hagenauer was fifth in the shot put (40-11 1/4) and sixth in the weight throw (52-9 3/4).

Prettyman, Erlanger, Lambert, and Hagenauer (weight throw) all qualified for the ECAC Championships March 8-9 at Boston University.

Everyone really stepped up in their performances this week.”
