Blue Hen Menís Golfers Sixth, Dan Costenbader Seventh After First Day of Binghamton Fall Invitational
APALACHIN, N.Y. -- The University of Delaware men’s golf squad fired a 298 team round on Sunday as the Blue Hens ended the day in sixth place out of 13 teams at the Binghamton Fall Invitational.
Laval leads the team standings after posting a 276 score on Sunday, while Fairleigh Dickinson is second at 280 and the host Bearcats are third with a 283 score.
Blue Hen senior Dan Costenbader fired a season-low one under par 71 on the par 72, 7,104-yard course at The Links at Hiawatha Landing, ending the day tied for seventh place in the individual standings.
Junior Fraser Graham tied his season best round by carding a two over par 74 and finished the day tied for 20th place, while classmate Niño Rosal is tied for 28th place after he recorded a three over par 75.
Sophomore Kyle Martin carded a six over par 78 during his round on Sunday to tie for 46th place, while freshman Marc Oliveri is tied for 54th place following his seven over par round of 79. Freshman Joe Visalli, playing as an individual, fired an eight over par 80 to conclude Sunday’s action tied for 57th place.
Ujo Coussand of Laval carded a six under par 66 and carries a two-shot lead into Monday’s final round, which begins at 8:30 a.m.
