POWELLS POINT, N.C. -- The University of Delaware men’s golf team posted its lowest round of the fall season with a 291 on Tuesday as the Blue Hens wrapped up their fall campaign by finishing in 16th place at the ODU Outer Banks Intercollegiate.

The Blue Hens, who fired a 308 on Sunday and a 299 on Monday, concluded the tournament with an 898 three-round total. VCU finished first among the 18 teams with an 843 score, while Maryland was second at 852 and Hartford came in third place at 853.

Delaware freshman Marc Oliveri carded a career-best two under par 69 on the par 71, 6,550-yard Kilmarlic Golf Course, the lowest round by a Blue Hen during the season, to tie for 63rd place in the individual standings with a 13 over par 85-72-69-226.

Senior Dan Costenbader fired a nine over par 80 during his final round, ending in a tie for 67th place at 70-77-80-227, 14 over par. Junior and fellow captain Niño Rosal recorded a one over par 72 during Tuesday’s action, also tying for 67th place with a 14 over par score of 77-78-72-227.

Sophomore Kyle Martin fired a three over par 74 in the final round of the tournament to tie for 75th place at 81-74-74-229, 16 over par. Junior Fraser Graham, who carded a 19 over par 80-76-76-232 following his final round of five over par 76, tied for 81st place in the standings.

Logan Lagodich of Marshall carded a six under par 69-67-71-207, and took home medalist honors following a one hole playoff victory over Jamison Randall of Old Dominion and Rocky Khara of VCU.

The ODU Outer Banks Intercollegiate concludes the 2013 fall schedule for the Blue Hens, who will be back in action on Mar. 16-17 at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational in Wilmington, N.C.
