Blue Hen Junior Niño Rosal Named To CAA Men’s Golf All-Academic Team

RICHMOND, Va. -- University of Delaware junior co-captain was named to the 2014 Colonial Athletic Association Men’s Golf All-Academic Team, the league announced earlier this week.

Rosal, a native of Camden, Del. (Caesar Rodney), carries a 3.44 grade point average as an exercise science major at Delaware to earn All-Academic honors.

Rosal appeared in all but two tournaments for the Blue Hens during the 2013-14 season, posting a 78.36 average round. He carded a team-best 74.92 shots per round during the five fall invitationals, while he led Delaware by finishing in 20th place at the George Mason Patriot Intercollegiate on Sept. 28-29. Additionally he fired a season low round of 71 at the Patriot Intercollegiate, while he tied for 21st place at the season opening Navy Fall Classic with a 74-75-149.

Rosal, who has averaged 77.62 strokes per round during his first three years as a Blue Hen, is also a member of the UD Student-Athlete Advisory Council.
